Well, Lisa and I survived the trip to the west coast last week. Nothing but rain and cold, and when we got back to Memphis, nothing but rain and cold.
Of course, the Savage must have missed my abusing it while I was gone. It didn't want to start Monday morning, and it pissed on the barn floor ramp that I use to get it in and out of storage. I guess oil is like pennies, breeds when you aren't looking. :-)
Took a nice ride on it yesterday on the way home from work. Hit 85mph on the freeway, and junk started pouring out of the muffler. Guess I've burned out another core, second in two years. One of these days I'll just end up leaving the upswept open pipe on it, even though it becomes a very loud instant solo seater when I install it.

As for the rally, toay is the 22nd of March, and the turnout is still looking to be very light. What's going on out there? Do ya'll still want to do this? et us know, NOW, or we'll end up having to call off the official rally. Something will still take place either way as of right now, but it is really up to the membership of the forum to ensure it is going to continue after this year. I'd kind of hoped that this could become like the European Savage gatherings, where everyone who can comes back year after year, even if the site and/or host changes.
Gotta go. My poor little Tonka truck (87 Toyota 4X4, really cute toy), got crunched a couple weeks ago, and I haven't returned fully to commuting on the bike. Catch ya'll later. Ride safe, ride free, ride loud, ride proud.
